Welcome to the Order of the Amaranth.

The Order of the Amaranth is a fraternal organization, composed of Freemasons and their female relatives.

It’s purpose is to promote high moral and ethical standards, based on the principles of Truth, Faith, Wisdom and Charity.

Amaranth is a worldwide organization, with Courts in Canada, U.S.A., Australia, Scotland, England and the Philippines. There are four Courts in Ontario, located in Hamilton, Kingston, Scarborough and Mississauga.

Many charities are supported by our members and the Courts, our chief project being diabetes research. In the past thirty years, over $10,000,000.  has been donated to diabetes research through our Amaranth Diabetes Foundation Inc.

In Ontario our funds are donated to the Charles H. Best Research Foundation.

Membership also provides the opportunity for social companionship, and many social events take place during the year.
